The purpose of this award is to recognize the service rendered by the altar servers to the parish community, to foster their knowledge of the Church liturgy, and to encourage personal spiritual growth.
We therefore invite you, as pastor, to nominate TWO altar servers from your parish.
Suggested nomination guidelines:
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years as an altar server.
- Candidates must have a good understanding and appreciation of their responsibilities.
- Candidates must be faithful in their duties and have provided leadership to other altar servers.
The Altar Server Award Ceremony will take place Saturday, September, 7th 2019, at Holy Rosary Cathedral. The ceremony will begin with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Michael Miller at 10:00 AM followed by conferment of the awards. A reception for the clergy, parents, and award recipients will be held at the Rosary Hall after the Mass.
